Every year, the audiovisual community in Orlando and beyond looks forward to AVPRO (AV & Production Reunion Orlando), an event that serves as both a celebration of camaraderie and a platform for networking. This year’s gathering, the 11^th Annual AVPRO 2024, was no exception, delivering an extraordinary experience filled with fun, laughter, and purpose. Hosted at the Orena Sports Bar, a local dive, the event brought together professionals from all corners of the AV industry for a night that was both casual and meaningful.

A Gathering of the AV Community

Orena Sports Bar, known for its laid-back atmosphere and welcoming vibe, was the perfect venue for this year’s reunion. The space buzzed with energy as freelancers, small business owners, and representatives from larger AV companies mingled freely, sharing stories, experiences, and ideas. The event’s informal setting allowed for genuine connections to form, as people moved effortlessly between groups, catching up with old friends and forging new partnerships.

AVPRO has always been about more than just business—it’s about building relationships that go beyond the professional realm. This year’s gathering was no different, as the bar filled with the sound of laughter, clinking glasses, and lively conversations. Attendees appreciated the chance to relax and enjoy each other’s company in a setting that felt more like a gathering of friends than a corporate event.

Extraordinary Collaboration

A standout feature of every AVPRO is the collaboration with Marc and Will, two seasoned professionals in the AV field, and various Orlando AV companies. Together, they worked with the Mental Health Association of Central Florida to create a memorable experience that was as impactful as it was enjoyable. Their partnership brought an added layer of purpose to the evening, reminding everyone in attendance of the importance of giving back to the community.

The highlight of the collaboration was the series of raffles and giveaways organized throughout the night. Attendees eagerly participated, knowing that all proceeds from the raffle tickets would go directly to the Mental Health Association of Central Florida. This initiative was a powerful way to raise funds and awareness for a cause that resonates deeply with many in the AV industry, where high-pressure environments and tight deadlines are common.

The generosity of the AV community was on full display as raffle tickets sold quickly, and the prizes—ranging from high-end camera equipment to $500 Gift certificates and fancy hotel stays—were met with enthusiastic applause. William Seton, Marc Alexander and Scott Munroe’s efforts, along with the support of the Orlando AV companies, ensured that the evening was not only about fun and networking but also about making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Creating the Perfect Atmosphere

The Fiesta Mo Sa 2024 with TCF at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida, was a mesmerizing celebration of culture, beauty, and talent. This year, LRAV was honored to be the official AV team, bringing their expertise in video projections, stage lighting, LED background walls and screens, and audio mixing to help shine the pageant members and performers for all the attendees to enjoy.

The highlight of Fiesta Mo Sa was undoubtedly the grand pageant, featuring contestants from children to adults. The most prestigious event of the evening was the Miss Earth pageant, where the winner would earn the chance to compete in the Philippines for the title of Miss Philippines, with the ultimate goal of representing the nation at Miss Universe. The contestants dazzled the audience with their poise, intelligence, and beauty, making it a tough decision for the judges.

LRAV’s contributions to the event were shown through the seamless transitions between acts, and the bright and flashy LED backgrounds that amazed the audience. Thanks to Rafael Alvarado, he provided high-definition video projections that brought the stage to life, complemented by a stunning LED background wall that added depth and vibrancy to every performance. The large screens ensured that every audience member had a perfect view, no matter where they were seated.

Audio mixing was handled with precision, ensuring that every word and note was clear, this was thanks to the audio master Maverick Mora. LRAV’s commitment to excellence was evident as they flawlessly managed the complex audio requirements of the event, from the delicate introductions of the pageant contestants to the powerful vocal performances of the celebrity singers.

Michael Norton, the lighting designer, skillfully adjusted the colors and types of bright lights to perfectly match the vibe and energy of each act. Norton’s expertise was evident throughout the event. His quick reactions and creative use of lighting added an extra layer of excitement and engagement, enhancing the overall experience for the audience. Each transition was fast, and his ability to adapt on the fly showcased his talent. Norton’s work not only highlighted the performers but also elevated the entire production, making it a visually stunning spectacle.

The evening reached its crescendo with performances by two renowned Filipino artists. May May Entrata, known for her stunning vocals and captivating dance routines, took the stage and mesmerized the audience. Her bubbly and cute energy was contagious, and her performance was a perfect blend of talent and charisma.

Following May May Entrata was Paulo Avelino, the handsome heartthrob whose soulful love songs tugged at the heartstrings of everyone present. His smooth voice and charming stage presence created an atmosphere of romance and enchantment, making the night even more special.

The Filipino Fiesta was more than just a pageant and performances; it was a full cultural showcase. The event featured numerous vendors, including many restaurant stalls that offered authentic Filipino cuisine. From savory adobo to sweet halo-halo, the food vendors provided a true taste of the Philippines, allowing attendees to savor the rich culinary heritage of the country.

Thanks to LRAV’s dedicated AV team, Fiesta Mo Sa 2024 was a resounding success. The audience was treated to a visual and auditory feast, with every detail meticulously planned and executed. The integration of video projections, bright lights, LED walls, and high-quality audio created an immersive experience that left a lasting impression on everyone present.

As the night drew to a close, the smiles on the faces of the audience and the applause echoing through Osceola Heritage Park showed the success of the event. LRAV’s Entertainment Department does it again! We recently brought our best DJs to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a week-long Dance Party Event, where kids, parents, and teens danced to fantastic playlists amidst the magic of Disney. The grand finale featured a big performance by DJCJ and DJ Ellie B, leaving the stage with grateful goodbyes.

Stepping into the vibrant world of Disney’s Hollywood Studios this past week, the excitement everywhere, and the air was filled with joyous sounds of laughter and music. LRAV had the incredible opportunity to bring our  DJs to this enchanting place, creating an unforgettable dance party experience. Everyone was moving to the beat of Disney playlists, and dancing with their favorite characters. The Disney’s Hollywood Studios Dance Party Event was a week-long celebration of music, dance, and pure magic, and we were honored to be a part of it.

The atmosphere was electric, with tourists, locals and Disney fans of all ages ready to dance and have a great time. Each day, our talented DJs took to the stage, transforming the park into a dance floor. The energy was contagious, and it didn’t take long for the crowds to start moving.

Throughout the week, our DJs brought their A-game, spinning a mix of Disney classics, pop hits, and dance anthems that kept everyone on their feet. One of the things that differentiate LRAV’s Entertainment Department is their attention to detail. The playlists are carefully curated to appeal to a diverse audience, ensuring there is something for everyone. This process alongside any of their clients ensures that all elements of the event are taken into consideration. From toddlers in princess costumes to teenagers showing off their latest dance moves, the dance party was a hit across the board.

One of the highlights of the week was the incredible performance by our own DJCJ and DJ Ellie B on the final day of the event. These two talented DJs have a knack for reading the crowd and knowing exactly what tracks will get everyone hyped up.

DJ Christian DeLeon, known as DJCJ, has a unique style that blends high-energy beats with a touch of Latin flair. His sets are always a crowd-pleaser, and this event was no exception. From the moment he started spinning, the dance floor was packed with people of all ages, dancing and having the time of their lives. DJCJ’s enthusiasm and masterful mixing skills kept the crowd engaged and entertained throughout his set.

DJ Ellie B, on the other hand, brought her signature blend of pop, kid friendly mixes, and Disney hits. Her ability to seamlessly transition between genres and keep the energy high made her a huge hit with the crowd. Ellie B’s set was a high-energy experience that had everyone dancing non-stop. Her charisma and connection with the audience were evident, and she had a special way of making everyone feel like they were part of something truly magical.

As the night progressed, the energy continued to build. The dance floor was a sea of smiling faces, twinkling lights, and energetic dance moves.  The sense of community and joy was overwhelming, and it was clear that this was a night to remember.

The grand finale of the event was DJCJ and DJ Ellie B joining forces for an epic back-to-back set that took the party to new heights. The crowd roared with excitement as they mixed some of the most popular tracks of the night, creating an atmosphere that could be felt throughout the park. The final moments of the dance party were a pure Disney magic, leaving everyone with memories that would last a lifetime.

Pleasure Rest, a local mattress factory in Orlando, recently celebrated its ribbon cutting with a spectacular event that showcased the essence of community, culture, and entrepreneurship. As a community-driven and minority-operated business, Pleasure Rest is dedicated to providing personalized mattress solutions while contributing positively to the local economy. The grand opening event was not just a celebration of a new business but also a testament to the vibrant Hispanic community and the thriving minority-owned businesses in Orlando.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was a highlight, attended by members of the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando, local invites, and excited community members. Pedro Turushina, the president of The Hispanic Chamber, delivered a heartfelt and inspiring speech. He emphasized the significant impact of minority-owned businesses on Orlando’s economic landscape and celebrated the resilience and success of the Hispanic community. Pedro’s words resonated deeply with the audience, reminding everyone of the power of unity, hard work, and community support.

Recently, LRAV had the privilege of managing the lighting, audio, and DJ services for an exclusive private party at SeaWorld. The event was a resounding success, leaving guests in amazement of the incredible atmosphere created by the skilled team at LRAV.

From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted by a mesmerizing display of lights that set the tone for the dancers and DJ.
